SHDC Rewilding Consultation - Ends Midnight 5th August

RECEIVED FROM SOUTH HAMS DISTRICT COUNCIL:
We’ve just started our consultation around proposed changes to our land management practices, it could see 10Ha land as wilder green space, 3.5Ha of land as wildflower areas, and 3.5Ha of new tree planting.
On the consultation portal we’ve included some examples to help people understand what it might mean for their areas, what would change (with video explanation) , some photos of managed areas around South Hams and Plymouth as well as a case study based on some research from an unpublished masters dissertation looking at the effects of wildflower meadow creation in Plymouth.
